Kaiju Strike Designator
Call down a catastrophic kaiju beam strike anywhere in your world.
How It Works
- Craft the Designator - Requires nuclear cores, diamond blocks, netherite and a dragon head
- Place the Kaiju Strike Device - Right click to aim and place it in the world
- Fuel It - Insert a nuclear core (nether star + end crystals + redstone blocks)
- Start the Countdown - Shift right click to cycle between 3 timer modes then activate
- Run.
What Happens
- Sky darkens as vortex clouds swirl overhead
- Blocks rip from the ground and spiral upward
- Massive beam fires from bedrock to sky with dynamic noise-based visuals
- 3-phase explosion carves a bowl-shaped crater with jagged edges
- Crater is lined with irradiated blocks that emit radiation and geiger counter sounds
Features
- Configurable blast radius (10-500 blocks, default 150)
- Configurable countdown (5-300 seconds)
- 3 color palettes for the beam
- Irradiated terrain - Custom radiation effect (not wither), green tint, proximity damage
- Full atmosphere system - Custom GLSL vortex clouds, block ripping physics, shockwave visuals
- Geiger counter ambient sounds near irradiated blocks
- Immersive audio - 11 sound events with 3D positional audio (~800 block range)
Config Options (atomicbreathrailgun-common.toml)
- Blast radius, countdown duration
- Destroy bedrock toggle
- Require fuel toggle
- Dimension whitelist
- Block blacklist (barriers, command blocks by default)
