The Copperier Age
Does the content from 1.21.9 not offer enough copper or personality? Then this is the mod for you!
The Copperier Age is an expansion on all concepts introduced in 1.21.9, adding new features and mechanics, wonderful parity blocks and optional retextures, plus some re-imagined cut content from Caves & Cliffs.
Boasts Glowtone compatibility emissives.
Technology
The Copperier Age focusses primarily on themed technical blocks, giving more potential to copper's logistical focus.
The Crate
The hottest new storage block near you. Crates store up to 36 slots - but can only store a single type of item. Pushable by pistons and directional, the crate spits out items that are forced into it via the likes of hoppers. Excelent for bulk storeage and as item filters.
The Wrench
A utility item for builds and redstoning, use on a block to tune it's rotation.
The Gearbox
A new block with many uses. Power from the side with redstone to charge with rotational energy, which transfers to adjacent gearboxes! When charged with rotation, outputs a redstone signal from behind. Entities ontop will spin.
The STICKY Gearbox
A variant of the Gearbox, sister to it as sticky pistons are to pistons. The sticky gearbox acts as a gearbox but with the aditional ability to rotate blocks that it is facing!
Fan
Fans blow you.
Weighted Pressure Plate
Weighted pressure plates are a marvel of modern engineering, outputting a redstone signal depending on how many occupied inventory slots entities ontop have - oxidization levels reducing the sensitivity and requiring more weight per redstone level.
Copper Buttons
These buttons are initially slick and responsive, staying pressed for a very short duration. As they oxidize, they will stay pressed for longer. Bored copper golems will ocasionally press them, along with golems that have just finished their item depositing tasks.
Redstone Grit
A new gravity affected redstone power source. Upon being placed or moved, it is inactive. After a second it will settle and become active, powering it's surroundings!
Fun
There are a few new features that don't particularly impact gameplay too much.
Chimes are a new oxidising block, with physics and sounds (and sculk interactions) which is influenced by air flow.
Copper Horns, previously from Wilder Wild are a new instrument crafted from goat horns. Collect them all!
Parity
Some blocks are missing from vanilla's copper flame set. We add the missing links!
Copper Fires and Campfires burn with the same mint-green flame as torches and lanterns.
The flames from these blocks are toxic, and poisons those grazed by it.
Tweaks
A few vanilla features have received changes, such as chests generating in trial chambers now being copper, and copper tools and armor now oxidising and receiving slightly enhanced stats as they degrade.
Waxed blocks also don a small icon to indicate that they are waxed at face value, tooltips also display waxed and oxidisation as subtext, not in the item's name.
Retextures
This is a rather subjective matter . . . so, it is part of a built-in resource-pack that you can disable. The copper blocks introcuded in 1.21.9 are paractically re-colored iron. We make the copper copperier, giving many features new uniquely shaped textures to help give the copper set it's own deserved personality.
This includes:
- Copper Lanterns
- Copper Chains
- Copper Bars
- Copper Armor
- Copper Tools
Configurable!
The majoraty of the features in the mod are configurable! Disable the tweaks you don't like, change some of the behaviours between different presets. The choice is yours!
Future
This is but the first release of the mod. More content is in the works, such as:
- new Trial Chamber rooms
- additional mechanical masterpieces
- And more!
After Word
A lot of love and time was collectively put into creating this project.
Please consider checking out other FrozenBlock mods, which follow the same design philosophies. Also consider using Simple Copper Pipes, it aesthetically and mechanically fits extremely well with the themes presented here and in 1.21.9, AND is also made and maintained by Lunade/AViewFromTheTop (the lead developer for this project).
